Overview

Near the end of each semester, YIRA holds an all expense-paid banquet for its members. These banquets allow YIRA members to relax, and enjoy good food and one another’s company after a semester of rewarding programs and activities. The Fall Banquet is a semi-formal event held at a local restaurant, while the Spring Banquet is a formal event held at the Union League Cafe, one of the finest restaurants in New Haven. The Spring Banquet is preceded by a cocktail reception, and usually includes a slideshow of photos capturing the year’s events, as well as seniors’ farewell speeches. All YIRA members in good standing – that is, those that have staffed at least one conference – are invited to attend. In addition to the Banquets, social activities and get-togethers are held throughout the year.
