YIRA is run by a Board consisting of a President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Secretaries-General of each of the three Model UN Conferences, the Head Delegate of the Model UN Team, the Speaker.s Committee Chair and the Director of Outreach. The Board meets once every two weeks, and more frequently on an informal basis. Minutes of Board meetings, as well as the Constitution, can be viewed to the right of this page.

Jared Wigdor President president@yira.org Jared, a junior History major in Jonathan Edwards College, hails from Mission Viejo, California. As President of YIRA, he oversees all operations in the organization, including the conduct of each conference and program, YIRA finances and recruitment, and relations with the Yale administration, UNA-USA, and other relevant bodies. Jared is also involved with Maya, a student-run marketing and consulting firm, and writes op-eds for the Yale Daily News. |

Filip Savatic Vice-President vice.president@yira.org Filip is a junior Ethics Politics and Economics major in Silliman College. Since his freshman year, Filip has been an active member of MUNTY, the SCSY Secretariat, and has staffed and directed committees at YMUN. Now as Vice President, in addition to assisting with general management and oversight of the organization as a whole, Filip is responsible for YIRA’s recruitment drives as well as organizing international trip opportunities to various social events. At Yale, Filip is also involved in other organizations dealing with international relations including AIESEC and the Yale European Undergraduates, and also plays cello for the Saybrook College Orchestra. |

Sebastian Serra Treasurer treasurer@yira.org Sebastian Serra is a junior in Saybrook College from Mexico City. He is a member of the Yale Varsity Soccer Team and member of the traveling Model UN team. As Treasurer, Sebastian is responsible for managing income and expenditures of the organization and keeping financial records. Additionally, he is also responsible for planning and executing the Fall and Spring Banquets. |

Bryan Kam Secretary secretary@yira.org Bryan is a sophomore political science major in Saybrook College. As Secretary, he is responsible for drafting Board minutes, sending out weekly bulletins to members, running the website and maintaining the organization’s institutional memory. Bryan grew up in Hong Kong, although he is Australian by nationality. In addition to serving on YIRA’s Board, he is also the Undersecretary-General for Services for YMUN, YIRA’s high school Model UN conference. Outside YIRA, Bryan is involved with the Roosevelt Institute, Yale’s student public policy think-tank, as well as the Yale Hunger and Homelessness Action Project. His international relations interests include the Middle East, civil and ethnic conflict, and the causes and effects of democracy. In his spare time, he enjoys catching up on episodes of House, Heroes and Chuck, reading political and election news, and skiing. |

Rachel Wolf MUNTY Head Delegate munty@yira.org Raised in Palo Alto, California, Rachel came to Yale eager to travel. As Head Delegate of the traveling Model United Nations Team at Yale, she leads the team that represents Yale at Model UN competitions on the college circuit and abroad. Rachel has served on the SCSY Secretariat, chaired for YMUN, and turned in a midterm essay on “YIRA’s internal non-market economy.” She also serves on the editorial board of The Yale Globalist, an undergraduate international affairs magazine. A political science major in Saybrook College, Rachel’s current academic focus is civil conflict. |

Bryce Scanlan SCSY XXXII Secretary General bryce.scanlan@yira.org Bryce is a senior majoring in Economics and Computer Science. Originally from sunny Manhattan Beach, California, Bryce now resides in Davenport College. As Secretary-General of the Thirty-Second Session of the Security Council Simulation at Yale (SCSY), he is organizing YIRA's crisis-based college conference and hopes to see you at Yale in October! When he's not preparing for SCSY, he runs for the Yale Cross Country and Distance Track teams. Bryce is interested in saving the world. |

Dahlia Mignouna SCSY XXXIII Secretary General dila.mignouna@yale.edu Dahlia is a sophomore majoring in Ethics, Politics and Economics, with a planned concentration in International Development. She has never been able to concisely state where she was from, but has made her way through Belgium, Nigeria, Togo, Virginia, and Kenya to reside in the incredible Berkeley College. As Secretary-General of the thirty-third session of the Security Council Simulation at Yale (SCSY), Dahlia is responsible for planning and putting on a crisis-based college conference, and hopes to see you attend! When she isn't working on SCSY and YIRA, Dahlia is involved in AIESEC, another international organization, and fusing traditional bellydancing and modern styles with her dance team, Fusion. |

Natalie Kotkin YMUN Secretary General ymun.security@yira.org Natalie Kotkin is a junior at Yale University double majoring in French and International Studies. Originally from Wethersfield, Connecticut, she now resides in beautiful Trumbull College. As the Secretary-General of YMUN XXXVI, she is responsible for the planning and execution of Yale's annual high school Model UN conference. Outside of YIRA, she is on the board of the Women's Leadership Initiative and mentors high school students through Girl-Empowered Mentoring (GEM). Jharrett Bryantt UNCSY Co-Secretary General jharrett.bryantt@yira.org Jharrett Bryantt is a junior at Yale University majoring in Chemical Engineering. Originally from San Antonio, Texas, Jharrett now resides in Saybrook College. As Secretary-General of UNCSY, a Model UN Conference for Yale students, he is responsible for overseeing the promotion and recruitment efforts for the conference, as well for coordinating UNCSY's funding and designing all conference materials. Jharrett loves YIRA and has been an active participant over the last two years. Most recently, he served as the Under-Secretary-General of Technology of the thirty-fifth session of the Yale Model United Nations. Outside of YIRA, Jharrett is a marathon runner and devotes his spare time to training for numerous competitions. Jharrett also enjoys conducting Tissue Engineering research at both Northwestern University and the Yale School of Medicine. |

Elizabeth Breit Director of Outreach outreach@yira.org Elizabeth is a senior Religious Studies major in Branford College. As the Director of Outreach, she organizes, runs, and hosts various educational as well as other service programs powered by YIRA members for the benefit of the greater New Haven community. Elizabeth was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and is fairly elitist about it. Beyond YIRA, Elizabeth is also a Public School Intern, Director of Branford TIES, a FOOT leader, and fierce at Inner-Tube Water Polo. She studies Arabic and French and has vague plans to live in Beirut after graduation. |

Swati Yanamadala Speakers Committee Chair speakers@yira.org Swati Yanamadala is a freshman in Jonathan Edwards college potentially majoring in Economics and Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. As Chair of the Speaker's Committee, Swati works with YIRA members and members of the Yale community at large to plan events and bring exciting new speakers to the Yale campus. Outside of YIRA, she is also involved in the Yale Business Society, the Yale Journal of Medicine and Law, and the Maya Marketing Division. |
