United Nations Crisis Simulation at Yale (UNCSY)

About Us
The United Nations Crisis Simulation at Yale (UNCSY) is a one-day Model UN conference for Yale students. Undergraduates, as well as graduate and professional students, participate in UNCSY as delegates in a single-day engaging simulation of international diplomacy. Like SCSY, but distinctive from most Model UN conferences, UNCSY hosts several exciting, crisis-based committees, which are heavily driven by intense, real-time crises, which challenge delegates to think on their feet and adapt to rapidly changing situations. Through these crises, as well as the committee experience more broadly, delegates are able to hone their problem-solving and diplomacy skills. Further, UNCSY places strong emphasis on the delegate social experience, and the conference is followed by a highly-anticipated delegate and staff social. UNCSY is also YIRA’s first conference of the school year, and for many incoming freshmen, participating in UNCSY is often the first step to becoming an active and full member of YIRA. UNCSY is a conference designed expressly for any and all Yale students with an interest in international relations and global affairs, and no prior experience in Model UN is necessary to attend.
UNCSY will take place on
Sept. 26th 2009.
