The Model United Nations Team at Yale is Yale’s competitive Model UN team. Consistently bringing home awards from every conference it attends, MUNTY is one of the world’s top collegiate Model United Nations teams. Each semester, new MUNTY members are selected from among the Yale undergraduate student body through a highly competitive audition process. MUNTY attends several conferences per year, one of which is typically an international conference such as WorldMUN. In years past, MUNTY has attended conferences in Egypt, China, Germany, Singapore, and Brussels. In addition to fulfilling their responsibilities to the team, MUNTY members maintain an active presence in YIRA as a whole.
To learn more about MUNTY or ask any questions, please contact Head Delegate Adam Gerard at email@example.com.
MUNTY Tryouts are held at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters each year. To sign up for tryouts, email the head delegate, Adam Gerard, at firstname.lastname@example.org. More specific info about tryouts is available at MUNTY's many recruitment events (view the calendar or newsletter for more information). The number of new members varies each year based on the strength of the talent we see, so there's no hard cap on the number of students we take. Previous Model UN experience is not necessary, and many of our members had no Model UN experience before joining MUNTY. Consequentially, tryouts are tailored to look for talent, not experience.
